    Playstation 3 NTSC-J Pre-order

does anyone know if anywhere is taking pre-orders yet?

    Thanks

Nowhere is taking 'proper' ones thus far. I know that Lik-Sang have a list about a mile long as it wasn't money down and they have been taking them for a long time, they seem to have stopped though.
Maybe PA will take them, but there's not much point, if they do you can expect a 4 figure price at launch. However, considering where PA stand on shipping PSP stuff to the EU don't count on getting one from them if Sony pressurise exporters again.

Considering Japan's tiny allocation, you will find some on ebay and the rest on Yahoo Japan at release.

I don't fancy your chances tbh.

If your that desperate to get one at launch, surely you'll have more chance of getting one of the 400,000 US ones ?

Just wait until after christmas to get one then you will have a better idea on it capability and bulid quality. I think it will license to print money for sellers but not enough consoles due to world obssesion with PS3.

Yep and there's absolutely bound to be hardware problems with them - And if you think Sony will fix it for you you're onto plumbs !!

As David said you'd probably be better off flying to the States and buying one yourself - probably work out at the same cost but even then I don't fancy your chances - Those 400,000 units will all have somebodies name on them already.

There's talk of a preorder system where when you preorder at a store, you get put onto the Sony preorder list, so even if you preorder at the store, your not too likely to get one, or if you do, expect it to be marked up.

I'll likely wait until early next year, when I can import a US machine for RRP with no hassle.

I'm going to be after one of these as well - pressing triangle to cancel and cross to confirm does my head in.

The ones that don't will have 24hr plus queuing to secure. The thing is with stock being so constrained, the stores will take advantage, the bundles will make the 360 bundes that were touted last year look minor.
Anyone remember the $4k+ 360 bundles that included a plasma TV, lazyboy chair, ****e games, ridiculous no. of accessories etc.

If you've got money to burn, VGI will probably get one or two in I guess.

Shozuki-Why do you have no preference between a US or JPN machine?

                              Evening bruvvas.

                              $699 for the 20GB

                              $999 for the 60GB

I want one, but not at those prices

It's worth noting that when the PSP came out, Audiocubes were some of the cheaper guys to get one from IIRC. I expect PA etc. will be around the same price if not higher.
