Xbox360 12months/1000 Marketplace points from Play.com

I bought this and it arrived today:

It clearly states 1000 free points but I didn't get any. The code I used gave me an extra 12 months of Xbox Live, but hasn't given me any more Marketplace points. There was nothing in the box (it was just a regular Xbox360 12 Month box, like every retailer sells) or the jiffy bag. What's going on?

Has anyone else ordered this? Did you get your points?

Yup I'm in the same boat - have emailed them and they sent out a replacement of the same product

You will be emailed a code upon despatch of your order, once this is entered into Xbox Live you will receive 1000 Live points

I've just looked at my account as I had emailed to say how can I return an item them I've already used? They now seem to have marked the item as returned, and refunded me ?1.40 postage costs for something I haven't returned, essentially meaning I've got another 12 month renewal code ... the mind boggles.

I had a look at that offer on Play.com too, but I might not bother if u guys are having trouble.
Re: these points things u are supposed to get. How else can u get them?
I mean, do u earn them or do u have to buy them?

I got one of the many 12 month subs on ebay for ?24.99. The code was emailed to me straight after I purchased. Not a bad way to do it.

You have to buy the Microsoft Points. You can get them on scratchcards in stores or use your credit card on the 360 itself.

Well that's just **** isn't it I've got from Play.com too, but I haven't used it yet on account of me only just going on live I am on my 1 month gold trial. I shall be sending an email to play as well.

On the Marketplace screen, there's a section for account management. That is where you enter a pre-paid subscription code for Xbox Live access (1 month, 3 months, 12 months). If you press X on that menu though, there is an option to enter a code for Marketplace points or to buy them with a credit card

This thing from Play was supposed to offer 12 months of Xbox Live Gold, PLUS 1000 Marketplace points, which is worth about ?9. But they have only sent out the Xbox Live codes. So we are losing out on something quite significant, IMO. If it was a freebie or something worth a couple of pounds, I wouldn't be bothered. But for something worth ?9 or so, it's a big deal

No change - I ended up with 2 x 12 month subscription codes, so I left it at that.

No 1000 MS Point code has ever turned up.

And another bizzare twist - I've now been emailed a 1000 MSP code from play - nearly deleted the thing as it looked like a play news letter email.

Having trouble entering my 1000 points code, it says the code isn't valid with "this offer". The helpdesk part of Play's website is awful, there's nothing there! and no email address to contact them on so I'm gonna have to phone.

EDIT: Okay the guy on the phone said this is happening to everyone and is passing on to someone else. I should get an email in 24-48 hours with "instructions" on how to go about getting the points. I would hope it's just a new code cos that sounds insane.

Wish I hadn't waited till I needed the points before trying to cash the code in, I want Doom dammit.
