Stepdown for Wii/PS3

I know the video has been posted in the PS3 thread but I thought I'd give anyone subscribed to this thread only a heads up.

Couple of people have now confirmed that the JPN PS3 takes 110V to 240V so there's no need for a stepdown. Just get a bog standard PC power supply lead and plug it in apparently

damn just bought that ?20 stepdown from maplins today which i have been using for the ps3 and is working fine so far

PC power supply? So can you just use the one that comes with the console?
If you can great, although I spent ?30 on a 300w stepdown and then another ?50 on a 500w one
One is for the Wii though...anyone want a 500w stepdown?

More than enough, I believe the US Wii is rated at 53W.

Having just had a look at the step down I was using for my US Cube it says 105VAC (Volts Alternating Current) 600mA.

I can just about get my head around Watts but VAC?

Anyone know if it'll be any good for the Wii?

edit: in answer to my own question it works just fine.

I bought a 300w one for ?30 before I ordered my PS3 (am now using a 500w one which I'm just gonna keep for the Wii).

You're more than welcome to it for ?20 but I'd have to check the postage price first. It's really heavy so might be near a tenner.
Anyone have a postage chart for finding the price of postage for certain weights?
