OUENDAN!! - ADSL Max Training Period help

    Help me Ntsc-uk!

I've finally shifted off my arse and gone down the ADSL Max route (hurrah) but I've read lots of conflicting stuff about the 10 day training period for the line.

My router seems to be syncing OK with no drop outs at the moment ( 8426/448 ) but is it best to just leave the router connected to the line for the 10 days or switch it on and off a couple of times per day to resync?

I've searched high and low but no one seems to be able to give a straight answer as to what to do and why.

If you do turn it off, make sure it's for at least 45 minutes. Otherwise you might as well just leave it on.

You're synced at the maximum speed as it is now. If your connection wasn't stable the it would drop, and then re-sync - probably at a lower speed - to see if it could get stable.

After the training period though it's still possible to re-train, it's just the same as it is now, they just don't tell you much about it.

        Cheers both.

I've done a few reconnects and it keeps syncing at the 8426/448 or 724/448 mark (and still no drop outs at all). Guess that means my lines in pretty good shape (who'd have thunk it?)

I may just knock the router off overnight and back on in the morning for the next few days to see what happens.
