360 Live trial should have expired?

I've been using the 1 month free trial for Live that you get when you buy the console, it expired on the 17th but I'm still gold I've only used a credit card to buy points so I assumed they couldn't just use those details to automatically bill me for Live? MS's billing site is bloody confusing but it only mentions the points I've bout and definitley says my trial is cancelled.

There's another gold trial on the console that hasn't expired yet, could that be keeping me alive?

It must be the other free trial that is keeping you going foc, 99% sure I read yesterday you can use a total of three free trials per gamertag.

How do you get the free trial. I bought my Japanese 360 second hand but the original user didn't use live as far as i know.Is it tied to the console automatically or..?

i'll be getting live up and running in the next few weeks so would be nice to get some gold action for free before I commit myself to 12 months, lol.

I'm not sure myself, but I think it's linked to your gamertag rather than the console itself.

Having just gone onto live in the last fortnight, (had my console for a month now) I can confirm how to get the gold live 1 month trial. Just sign up for a silver account and at the end of the process it will ask you if you want to experience gold live membership free for a month, click yes to activate it. No card details are needed at all during this process, so you are free to use prepaid membership cards to renew your membership after the trial expires.

I made a UK, US and JP account the other day to use the other marketplaces. Every new tag got a month free gold.

so if i creat 1 main tag,wait a month and do a us one for content, and then wait a month and do a JPN one, I'll get three months for free on my main tag?

Don't you need to create a new tag when signing up in a different region ?
