i want a tv to play my import games on as my current one plays em in black and white, dont know if this tv is any good but i would like to know if any of you have any opinions on it, especially if u know whether it will take the signals from my import games. Also does the TV look to be good value for money? I will be taking my consoles into currys to check anyway so ill find out one way or the other lol!!

    any opinions appreciated

    cheers

Best way is to take the consoles into currys and try them as you said. I did this for a Tv years ago and i worked out fine. Got some funny looks though hehe

It looks ok, Toshiba are the market leaders in televisions and the only brand i will buy or advise others to.
It states 2 scart sockets so i suspect one will be RGB enabled so you shouldn't have any problems with ntsc consoles.
It however doesn't state ntsc 3:58 compatability something you will need if you play your games with anything other than a RGB scart connection.
You rearlly should take atleast one of your ntsc consoles into the shop and try it out, if you connect your console into the front AV input and it's colour the tv is ntsc 3:58 compatible.
However i would advise you to save a couple of hundred pounds more and go for a 28inch widescreen or even better a 32inch.
If you plan to use the tv for gaming with older consoles maybe 4:3 maybe your best option, however if you went for a widescreen all your bases are covered and ythey all come with a 4:3 option as standard
Only my opinion but i would never advise anyone to buy a 4:3 tv, go for 16:9 you won't regret it 8)

I only ever play 2D fighters and Neo games so obviously I'd only ever go for a 4:3.

I read the day when 4:3 tellys are no longer made.

My Toshiba is about 8 years old and that plays everything in full colour etc etc.

I dont think you'll have any problems with that t.v

I have a Toshiba TV which is slightly smaller than that one and is RGB enabled. Screen quality is always good on Toshibas so you should have no troubles.

That Tv is fine but I would stretch my budget if possible, after all buying a TV is a major investment IMO so its best to get the most for your cash. ?250's not bad but widescreen is definetly recommended as is a larger screen.
