SFC picture problems

So I've got hold of a Super Famicom. However, on connecting everything up, using an MD1 PSU, I get a rolling red picture with no sound. My TV works fine with an NTSC output, so it isn't that. Has anyone got any bright ideas?

What are you connecting it to your tv with? Rgb scart lead?

Yeah, RGB Scart - Japanese lead if it makes any difference.

Yes thats the problem. You need a uk rgb. Id reccomend the official pal gamecube rgb for top picture quality. I think the jap rgb lead can be modded by remmoving some of the capasitors but now idea how to do it im afraid.
