GBA-SP quick question + PS2games to lookout for stateside

I'm off to the states next month and intend to buy a GBA-SP while i'm there, i know they are region free and run on the same voltage but does the standard GBA power supply fit the SP ??
When i get back to the UK i don't want to have to use a stepdown to recharge it,
I will also be visiting the large Sony center in San Fransisco to hopefully buy a white limited edition ps2, are there any games i should be looking out for that haven't seen a pal release ???
