Weird okami problem, for some reason the movies seem to skip for no reason. my disc is in mint condition, i was just wondering if anyone is having the same problem. It shouldn't be a hardware problem, none of my previous games have skipped, i have a matrix infinity updated to v1.88 if that could be a problem.

Zero9x - Do you by any chance have a pstwo with model number SCPH-75001 to SCPH-75003?
If so then thats probably what the problem is as when the machine was released it was quite heavily documented that these "newer" models have problems playing certain games....and I wouldn't be suprised if Okami's one of them.

I've got the earlier slimline modded with a Matrix Infinity (v1.88) and the US original works perfectly for me.Comment

I have a modified v9, "fat" PS2 and th first time I loaded the game the intro movie had an audio problem. The game itself runs fine, though I got a couple hich-ups in Kamiki village...don't really know if it's the disk or the game itself.Comment
