Cheapest place to buy Famicom Gameboy Micro and the USA 'brighter' SP?

    Hi everyone,
Have just found out that Gameboy Micro has been reduced to ?39.99 at GAME (and probably elsewhere too) so would like to pick one up - but id much rather get the Japanese Famicom version than the silver/pink/green/blue UK editions,

Can anyone recommend me the cheapest place I can buy a Japanese Famicom Gameboy Micro from?

I am also thinking about picking up one of the USA only Gameboy Advance SP's with 'brighter backlit screen' - like the Peal Blue version.

Any recommendations for the cheapest place for this aswell?

    Thanks in advance

Not sure where to get them from over here, but the brighter SPs really aren't all that... The colours look really washed out, especially in comparison to the screens on the Micro or the DS Lite.

Not sure if it's the cheapest option but Play Asia have the Famicom Micro for around ?54.00.

Thanks, are they really not that great then? I only realy wanted on as it seems it will be the last Gameboy to support original Gameboy and Gameboy Colour games (which the Micro and DS dont) but if the picture's not even better than the original SP's I may not bother...

Then again it does look alot better than the original SP from these pictures on IGN:-

I was hoping for sub ?50.00 though - anyone have any other suggestions?

        Thanks again

Got my GBA SP with 'brighter backlit screen' - which tbh is fricking awesome I ordered it from Tronix for ?54 all in (Graphite version) and picked up a SP charger from a local carboot for ?1. I have a large stock of around 30 original GB carts so I needed something to play them on... I'd save the money for a DS if you havn't got any old GB stuff!

PS - I didn;t get charged customs either by leaving them a note in the order form8)

If you don't mind the North American version of the Famicom Micro, there are a couple of Buy It Now auctions from Canadian sellers on eBay for around ?45.00 delivered.

I've just received the new Backlit Graphic SP from Tronix last week & as nifty said - its awesome.

The colours are definately not "washed out". Don't know how anyone who's played one could think that really.
It's a massive improvement over the original SP screen (which definately did look washed out) and is now up there with the DS Lite, Micro & PSP as those IGN photos show.

Theres two brightness settings. I'm using it on the lowest setting which is plenty bright enough but if thats not good enough for you then the higher setting definately will be.

Currently playing Circle of the Moon on it & its so much better than on the older screens. Started buying up the games that i'm missing now aswell as some older GBC/GB titles to play on it.

Now that the SP screen is as good the micro/ds, the larger size & the fact that it will play the entire Gameboy back catalogue makes it a far better buy imo. If you can get both though then great.
