How do i get both to work... because at the mo i can't get the 360 online...

You need the 360 wireless adapter, which connects to the console, then it will be able to communicate with the router.

Can't i just use the ethernet cable, can't really afford to fork out for a wireless adapter at the mo

        You can indeed.

Our desktop and my 360 are wired and then my DS Lite and two Dell notebooks are wireless. I use a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router.

All you need to do is set-up bridging. I cover how to do it on my website see my profile.

shadowman your guide is fantastic! btw, will a standard ethernet cable defo work with the 360 using bridging/ics as my crossover cable has chucked it lol.

All I did was plug my 360 into the router and ensure the MAC address was in the allowed list and it worked; this was the same for my Xbox too.

                    Cheers bud

Yeah the standard cable will work 100% The 360 network card has MDIX support, so it can autosense what the cable type and cross/uncross the connection as needed.
