    Xbox 360 Controller with PC

i am thinking about purchasing a new game pad for my PC because my Saitek P880 pad constantly requires me to setup profiles and lacks rumble feedback. most of all i want to play GTR2 and some (older) FPS-stuff.

i thought about the wired 360 controller that i could also use as second controller on my 360. but i've read reports about the lacking functionality of the rumble/force feedback which is supposed to be due to old or bad drivers. any advice is much appreciated!

Good question, I've had a wired 360 controller on my PC for a year now. Windows finds it and has no probs installing, just works.

Seems fine with the games I've played, but I'm not much of a PC gamer these days, so really haven't tried enought to say if rumble worked or not.

If it helps, they are only ?17.99 on play.

The 360 controller uses a different type of drivers which will be the new standard in controllers. Because of this you can't use rumble in emulators / other games.

I think there is a way to get arond it, but I never seem to figure it out.
If you need your rumble then get a different controller, if not get the 360 pad.
