Has anyone tried Chess on the 42 All Time Classics? I'd be interested to know what it's like.

It's simple chess and works really well. It has helpful hints telling you where your chosen piece can move to for the uber nub

(which you can disable also). I played it online and it went great. This title has got some great little games. Even a spin on UNO.

Chess games for the DS?
