    Computer Freezing

    Having a problem here.

Funny thing is, I reinstalled Windows XP home (legit copy) about 3 weeks ago because I was having a lot of issues. Everything seems to run fine except that my PC continues to freeze and lock up with consistency, but seemingly at random times.

There's nothing I can put my finger on that's triggering it. It happens with MSN running, a torrent program running and with poker software running. They're the only things I use; it seems to work with all but then konk out at different times with all three running at different times (or together).

Is there anything on my computer I can do or look for that might help? Any fault reports or logs? Or can you think of any issues that might be causing it?

Edit: just checked Windows update, scanned for viruses and spyware and good on all counts.

I should try that. Hopefully it'll make a difference.

Click start/run, type eventvwr.msc and click ok. Check the system and
application logs. And look for any crash reports.

Its hard to tell by the types of applications you've listed , but it could be a memory issue, memory leaks or cheap memory etc.

        Good luck anayway..

[ N.B , for some reason I assumed your PC was crashing , not just freezing ^^: ]

My guess is the torrent is on default seeting, thus using all available bandwidth. Try closing come of this down in the seetings and prefs in the client. My other guss is you are running off a wireless network. Too many ports open at once. !st should solve 2nd.
