Will I need a stepdown to run an Asian 360?

I'm thinking about buying an Asian 360 from Play-Asia and noticed that it comes with a "UK style" 220v power supply.

Now, will I need a step-down to run that or will it play ok straight from the wall?

The Asian 360 will work without a stepdown, so you can plug it straight in just like a UK console. You only need a stepdown for a Japanese or American 360.

If its a uk psu (brick & plug cable) then it will work ok.
I have a US machine and had to call customer services to order a uk psu.
When I used a stepdown to start with(I was too eager to wait for proper psu) the 360 demolished 2 step downs in an hour!!(1 was literally boiling as I prised it of a cd case).

Play asia could mean a step down when they mention uk style 220 power supply, email them to be sure exactly what it is they are sending you.

It actually is a proper UK power supply. I think most Asian region consoles have 220v power supplies because a large proportion of the sales go to Hong Kong, which has the same electrical system that we do.
