    DS Lite wifi probs

I just got me the DS browser, but try as I might my DS will not recognise my router. I have a Netgear DG834G, which is compatible according to the Nintendo site. I've used it before with a friends DS to play Mario Kart. Does anyone know what's going on and can offer any help? It's beginning to frustrate me now, so I'd appreciate any tips.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

Do you have a Network Key / SSID Key / WEP Key? and have you entered these on your DS?

Is your Anti-Virus software blocking or interfering with your router?

I have this router, make sure you upgrade the firmware first, that helps me. Also make sure that you are not restricting by MAC address (at least until you have added the DS's mac address into the list)

I've done manual setup on the DS so that I do not have to broadcast my SSID and entered everything exactly as it should be. I've added the DS to the list of accepted devices into the router too. I have the latest firmware too.

When testing the connection the signal is red with no bars at all. I get is Error Code: 51099 "Unable to find a compatible access point. Confirm SSID settings or move within range of a compatible access point." every time.

The router is less than a metre from where I'm sitting. I have my 360, PSP and my laptop all working fine wirelessly with the router, so I just can't understand why the DS won't work. I don't know what else to do.

Why dont you temporarily make your SSID visable, in fact I think you have to have it visible at all times with the DS tbh - It's hardly a big problem when you use WEP + restrict by MAC address

I think I had to broadcast the SSID for it to work. Also it will only work with WEP. I also had to put in a a DMZ for Animal Crossing to work as it uses a million and one ports for gaming on the net.

Hurrah, it works if I broadcast my SSID. The guide at Nintendo's own site says that you don't have to do this if you do a manual setup on the DS. I guess that is wrong information. Still it works now at least.
              Thanx for your help all.
