places in uk you can still pre-order a wii and get it on release date

went up to gamestation the other day to pre-order one and the bloke told me they were unlikely to have any left at launch now, but before CHRISTMAS ft:

I CAN'T WAIT AN EXTRA WEEK OR TWO!!?!

where can i still pre-order one and get it on time?

    cheers

This is clearly bull****. Game down here (3 branches in Soton) say that there should be no probs whatsoever getting one as long as you pay ?20 to reserve one, which I went and did today. Each store anticipates at least 50 consoles, apparently.

Youve still got places like toys r us, argos, wollies, currys etc that havnt even started so theres no need to panic although im pretty confident if i went down to gamestation today i could pre-order one and get it on launch maybe im and optimist but i dont think its going to be like the 360 fiasco again.

There will be a bizzilion consoles to go around.

Toys R us are always a good bet to preorder consoles from, especially nintendo ones.
Crimson is right, not just being optomistic, this won't be like 360.

Dude, it depends on your local Gamestation. My local is the biggest in the county so they're getting nearly the entire allocation, whereas the Bournemouth one (which is only about five miles away) is getting hardly any. Your best bet is to try the next-nearest GAmeStation, or the one in the biggest town centre in your area, and after that go for the less obvious places that generally get shunned by gamers like Comet (apparently they're pretty good).

Yessir. The staff at Poole reckon the Bournemouth one isn't very popular(!) so Poole gets all the good stock.

Shopto.net only started taking preorders this week, ?174.99 with Wii Sports and free delivery. They do ?3 off for your first order as long as it's over ?7.99.
