shame on me, I'm unable to figure out how to defeat the very first boss in Arcade mode.

I don't understand what Need 5 hit chain means. sometimes I destroy 5 enemies it seema to trigger something, sometimes not. what's the point?
when I explode the bomb the boss is thrown away, maybe I have to trigger the chain in a way that the boss is hit by cain explosion but not by bomb explosion?

what is exactly the sequence of things to do?
5 hits, then 12, then 30, then it seems to revert back to 5 hits chain... I'm really confused...

There's quite a few tips in the EEE First Play thread, 5 hit chain mean's exactly that you need to chain five enemies (at least) before the chain hit's the boss. Off to lunch now but will help you when I return if your still stuck.

Watching a few vids of Stage 1 on youtube may help explain things also.

You need to make sure at least one of the enemies in the chain is touching the Boss's weak spot (the centre) when they explode, otherwise the chain has no effect, no matter how big it is.

The best method is to wait untill there's a large cluster of enemies and set a bomb near the edge of the screen so that the chain reaction finishes in the centre of the Boss.
