I want to play GT3 on mine so driving force is no use.

Lap adaptor would be useful, GT Force doesnt have it !

I assume the GT force works on Initial D ?

Then to throw me there is a new Logi wheel comming out for GT4.

      Drat and double drat !
Driving Force works perfectly with GT3

it's the same wheel only it has a mounted D-Pad, Face buttons and no logos other than Logitech.

The list should be correct as I found it on the Logitech website

regarding Initial D compatability, I'll let you know in a few hours when Parcel Force Deliver my Initial D, it bloody well better work as I only bought the wheel for that

GT3 does not work perfectly with a driving force wheel, it has a known bug.

        Try this.

Enter a corner in say 4th, turn in, drop a gear. Now try and drop a gear with the wheel still turned - it does not work you have to centre the wheel before you can make a 2nd change

So while it 'works in GT3' it doesnt work fully, the gt force does tho.

So guys, I'm still a little confused. My game should be through sometime next week and I need to know what wheel to get for it.

            GT Force or Driving Force?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

I think they are just the same. Some minor differences, DF has got a d-pad for example, either will be ok.

                Cool!

Thanks Wager. Need to get a wheel for this game as it's gonna be my most played driving game since F355 and Moto GP!

Do both of these wheels work with the PS2 version of F355 too?

Logitech have announced that a new wheel will be released for GT4 which will feature 900 degree turning (so you can turn hand over hand) - it will also feature a 180 degree mode for current titles

If I remember correctly, I can change gear fine in most instances round a corner, its only if I'm on full lock that it ignores the gear paddles. Either use a face button or don't turn the wheel so darn hard - most of the time if you're on full lock you'll either spin it or the game is hand-holding your oversteer for you with the difficulty settings, and easing off a bit won't hurt.

Also has a gear stick (jus up an down) aside from the wheel so u can change gears without the paddle which I know will please a few ppl who find changin gear an absolute bitch on GT Force a Driving Force due to paddles turning with the wheel

Plus I heard it will come with a mounted gear stick too. I am not sure if this is alongside the paddles or it will replace them.

I am using the DF with Initial D but I am utter crap with it. I am using it with the lap adaptor but the wheel is too close to my body for comfort so my times are at least 10 seconds slower compared to using the pad.

Oh christ that is going to be awesome.

Hopefully the full 900 degree turning range will be compatible with old games. Playing Initial D with the GT Force doesn't quite compare due to the arcade's greater turning radius. Hopefully the new wheel will sort that out.

Just to confirm, the Driving Force wheel DOES work with Initial D. I just had 3 hours of heavenly play with it

ta for confirmation mr_sockochris was praying it was when I bought it,

parcel farse "forgot" to load my Initial D on the van a 2nd day running, which is 3 days they've blundered now, startin to wonder if I'm better off pre orderin the pseudo confirmed PAL version as I'll prolly get that sooner.
