Is there a way of transferring XBOX saves to a 360?

I've got an XBOX Memory Card & had a USB cable that fits my XBOX pads lead & so I tried transferring the saves using the USB port on the 360, but nothing happened.

Is there any way of doing this transfer as I dont fancy starting GTA SA & some of my other XBOX games from scratch again?

You can via some silly adapters and the like, but I wouldn't dare as it could result in your being banned at a later date.

I think he's referring to one of those adaptors like the XSATA (IGN review) which lets you connect a PC to the 360's hard drive and manage files on it. With that I think it's possible to put Xbox saves onto the 360 if you can get them from your Xbox to the PC (easy if you have a modded Xbox or Action Replay).

I really doubt you'd get banned from Live for something as innocuous as that because all you're doing is transferring saves. Probably not even detectable and people have been doing it for months without issue.
