The US stuff they ship direct from the US or Canada.

Are you sure? I always thought all their R1 DVD's were shipped from mainland Europe. Maybe i'm getting mixed-up with DVDBO.

Well, not 100% sure they send ALL stuff from the US, but I emailed them recently to see what shipping method they use*. They told me that the method depends on the cost of the item and also if they ship it from their Jersey warehouse or from the US. They can't send stuff recorded from the US, they said. I didn't even know they sent stuff direct from america until they said that.

* There was a debate on here about if they used recorded or standard post - they use recorded on stuff worth more than ?18 but only if shipped from Jersey.

Yep... some of the R1 DVDs they "stock" (such as the Transformers boxsets I've been buying) actually come direct from the US...
