There is obviously the official 2200 one out, but these seem too cheap yes, proper retail price for them is about ?22 normally.

I have 2 of these "20% up" batteries. Let me dig out where I got them from. It was one of those misspelt auctions and I ended up getting the pair of them plus the official external charger for like ?6.

They'll definitely be snide, but they will probably work as good as the real thing. Most batteries on eBay are fakes, anyway. Check the seller's feedback comments to see if there's any negatives in relation to them.

Mine are most deffinitely SCEI produce. I took them to my local indie to check them against their ?50each ones, and they are exactly the same. My seller was based in Japan, not Hong Kong/China/Hackney etc.

Nope, this is just the battery, they want 40 notes for the charger too BTW, does anyone know if the external wall charger will be brought to the UK?

J0e can't see official charger coming out now, sure it would have been released already if Sony were planning on doing it. Datel do one don't they.

I kept meaning to say that Woolworths (in store) have had Sony 1800mah batteries with a tenner off for months (now ?14.99 instead of ?24.99)

I got the Datel kit with the extra battery (normal cap) separate charger and car cable for about ?30.

The Datel battery seems to last as long as the original one.

I've said this in other threads but will repeat here, Datel claim that when you charge the battery from within the PSP it adds '1' to the total number of charge cycles to the battery. When that number reaches 300 the PSP somehow puts a marker on the battery and renders it unusable even if the batteryitself is fine.
Datel's external charger doesn't interfere with the charge cycle counter at all so in theory a well looked after battery can go wll past 300 charges.

Don't know how true this is or not, it's just what they claim.

Shane, the external wall charger is well just that. It's like a transfomer that you plug directly into a wall socket, or in my case a stepdown and then a battery slots into it and fully charges in around 2 hours. Check it out http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...en-70-q2q.html I remember before the PSP was launched here, the dummy boxes in GAME showed the external charger as being supplied with a value pack instead of the AC adapter/charger that we all have, so this is why I was thinking it would be released here.
