No. Nintendo initially indicated that the lite would use the same charger as the micro but this never turned out to be right. Some companies like Logic 3 are beginning to release tri-format chargers now, compatible with the SP, Micro and Lite, but I havn't seen them around yet.

The DS Lite has its very own charger, different from an SP, Micro or standard DS. You can use an SP charger with a standard DS, however, whatever the region of the console and of the charger.

yeah thanks for that,but what i now need to know is if a uk sp or micro charger is ok to use on a us micro.

Yes, the charger feeds to the SP/Micro/DS/Lite the right amount of power to be recharged without being burned.

Right amount of power but an SP charger won't fit a Micro. The Micro's power slot thingy is unique to the machine. You'll need a UK Micro charger.
