Have I bust my modded Saturn

Oh dear, out of the frying pan into the fire. After sorting a memory card problem,I accidently knocked my multi region/50/60 hz switches- all 4 of them at the same time!
Now when I switch the power on the power light comes on but it doesnt kick in the loading screen or load a game whens one is in. All I get is a no signal message up on my tv screen.
Doesnt sound good does it. Can anybody help

    You knocked the switches in?

Perhaps the 50/60hz switch is damaged, if either +5v or GND isnt attached to the middle leg, you wont get a signal.

If you have a multimeter I would open up and check whether each switch position is OK..

If it helps the switches are at the front. I dont know if anyone is familar with this one but it has 4 plastic switches that can be slid up or down for on or off. The region switches- 3 of them have to be set in a paticular order to get a specific region, these are different colours. The 4th switch similar to the others and again a different colour controls 50/60 hz output.

Ok, it sounds like perhaps whoever modded it, took a wire from each of the three jumpers that controls the EUR/USA/JPN region and attached to a switch, with the other legs to +5v and GND.

Hence what your doing is actually setting the binary logic to boot the console up... i.e. +5V is 1 and GND is 0.

Anyway I digress, id check the 4th switch you describe that controls the 50/60hz output, because like I said, if its come loose/got damaged, and the middle pole of the switch isnt connecting with anything, then you dont get a picture...

Do you get no picture whether its set to 50hz or 60hz? i.e. either switch position gives the same result (no signal) ?

yeah, no picture at 50 or 60 hz. My other worry is that when a game disc is in it doesnt turn even though the power light is on.

I can probably fix it for you if you want, but if you have a soldering iron and a little skill, and ideally a multimeter, you'd probably be better off having a tinker yourself..

yeah, I have a soldering iron, but little skill. I'll open it up and have a look at it and tinker. If all fails I'll take you up on your kind offer.
When I get a chance to do it, I'll let you know the outcome.
