Xbox 360 Power Supply Replacement

Hello

Turned on my Xbox 360 this afternoon and nothing happened. There's no light on the PSU so I am hoping that's the issue, rather than the console itself. Have tried changing the fuse but no joy.

This is my second Xbox 360 and is one of the later E models. Looking about for a replacement PSU it looks like I have a few options:

1. Get a second hand MS one off eBay
2. Get a new Chinese non-branded replacement from eBay (e.g. something like this)
3. Get this thing I found on Amazon that would apparently allow me to use the PSU from my original Xbox 360 Elite PSU

Anyone had any experience with the generic non-MS PSUs or that adaptor?

BearBoy just a thought: try asking in your local gameshop if they have any spares. They might even give it to you if they are surplus.

egparadigm - thanks for the suggestion. Hadn't occurred to me tbh I'd have to make a trip to a nearby larger town but I'm in no great rush so I'll take a look next time I'm there.

Although I haven’t tried a 3rd party PSU for Xbox 360, I would expect any to work, especially if they have the CE mark. Goodness knows how it works with Chinese products. 🤷🏻♂️
