The only differences are (afaik) that the characters now have mouths (lol), and the various grammatical errors found in the PSX version were cleaned up. Apart from that, you'd find it much easier just to play the PSX version nowadays - the PC version is limited to 640x480 and can be a right pain to get working correctly.

If you can manage to get it running, it's great - there are some nice high res fonts, and the 3D stuff looks a lot better, but you're probably best off with the PS1 game.
I've not been able to get it running properly on any system I've owned since I had a 166MHz Pentium, 32mb RAM and a 12mb Voodoo 2.

You will HAVE to download the fan-made music patches, otherwise you'll be listening to crappy midi.
Easier to just stick to the PS1 game mate... since the game uses prerendered backgrounds, it's not really enhanced by higher resolutions (as the backgrounds will be the same resolution regardless).

I remember this, I finished it right the way through. It was great at the time, but it was designed for GLide; 3DFX's native drivers. I know there are patches but it might be a fanny on to get working.
I'd recommend going for the original, then you're guaranteed not to run into a gamebreaking bug midway through.
