DSL Gateway and Zonealarm problems.

Hi,

I've recently installed a Netgear gateway and also have Zonealarm running. XBox Live runs perfectly through the gateway but I'm having trouble with Outlook and IE6. Outlook just can't find any mail and IE6 is very choosy about which sites it will access - they just seem to hang for ages and then come up with the usual non-access message.

Any help would be gratefully received :-)

I detest zonealarm, i find it to be a package that makes you think its worthwhile because of its interpretation of intenet traffic, like valid ICMP broadcasts from your isp being reported as as anything other than valid traffic.

My suggestion would be to remove zonealarm, the netgear gateway should have firewall or at least port blocking capabilities, so loose the software firewall .
