    Super Famicom Power Query

Got a query I'm hoping for some help with.
Just came back from Japan and picked up a Super Famicom as my 10 year old got hooked in Mario Kart

It came with a Japanese power adapter and I've read online that I can replace this with a UK adaptor, like an original Megadrive one which will work.

I also have an old step down convertor which I used for a Japanese Gamecube. I'm hoping I can use this with the Super Famicom without frying anything, at least as an interim measure? My son's eager to play it now we've got home.

I've linked to the image of the step down convertor as I can't upload pics for some reason - can anyone advise if this will be OK to use??

Pretty sure a step down is a step down. If it worked for a JPN cube it should be fine with a super fami. I used a UK mega drive PSU with my super Famicom. I'd probably wait for confirmation from one of the experts in here though.

I can confirm that using an original UK Mega Drive 1 PSU works fine on a SFC. That's what I used back in the early 90s.
