Initial D no optical out support???

Hey everyone.

Im still at home twiddlin my thumbs waiting for my copy of Initial D for ps2 but I read on a post in another forum is theres not optical out for this game. I use a fibre optic cable for my surround sound and now im hearin they've blocked it off in the game for piracy reasons so peeps dont copy the soundtrack onto minidisc or summit. Can anyone confirm this?

Also being a big fan of Initial D can someone tell me what songs are in the game?

Yes. The soundtrack is a very valuable comodity and they didn't want you ripping it to CD-R or Mini-Disc.

The songs from the soundtrack CD are as follows so I'd assume these are all in. You'll have to unlock most of them though:

I have pretty much 'sampled' the soundtrack from online sources, but I am going to purchase it as well as it is well worth the money.

(It's currently the playlist of choice on my iPod )

Stupid how they disabled optical out, there really is no point. Anyone who wants the music will still be able to rip it. I just extracted the whole lot from my Initial D DVD using ADXUTIL. I had to hunt around for an old SCART lead today with phono plugs just so I could hear the bloody sound. They sacrifice optical out, but leave all the audio on the DVD in unencrypted ADX format?? What's the point?
