ATARI 2600 console, anyone know about them?

I was fumbling around in my mum and dads attic the other day and found one of these, totally forgot i had it from like 10 or more years ago, problem is i can find the power adaptor yet, and i want to get a replacement but looking at where it plugs in theres like a threaded socked that looks totally hollow, no pin or anything like on other consoled power sockets in the middle.

can anyone confirm what the power socket should look like or am i missing something? i cant remember it ever being faulty but im not gonna buy a power plug if theres something missing.

i want to get it working cos theres a right pile of games, although im not really an atari man.

    help!

Theres someone that sells Atari 2600 compatible power supplies on ebay - for about ?5 each I think, their name is probably p_o_r_s_c_h_e - from memory.

The power supply attachments are rather strange. What this seller sells is basically one of those multi voltage power supplies, so you set it to the voltage of the Atari 2600, and the amps is within the amps rating needed, and then it comes with several attachments, one of which is suitable for the Atari 2600.

I think, its just a pin that goes in the hole, the socket looks like a small, round metal hole.
