problem with 360 controller

Goodness me this 360 has been far more trouble than its worth. onto new console number 5 YES 5 and now the controllers are giving me trouble.

I bought a new wireless controller and offical battery pack. charged up the battery pack fully and it works great (in my original xbox pad) however as soon as it goes into my new pad the new pad will not find the Xbox.

The pad works fine with batteries, the battery pack works fine in my other pad.

Can anybody offer any advice as to what the problem maybe and if i can fix it without having to send the pad pack.

All products i am useing are offical Microsoft products.

Isn't there a sync button on the console and also the controller you could try. Don't know why you're having such problems thou!? give the sync a try!
