Please help me :( (Drive installation Problem -Kinda Urgent)

Ok so today I got my Pioneer 105 Drive (OEM), I have a Dell Dimension.

Basically the Dimension came with a CD-ROM drive (Top Bay - Cable Select jumper setting) and I installed a CD-RW (Second Bay - Slave jumper setting). This has been working fine.

However, when I try to install my DVD-RW (Replace the CD-ROM) I keep getting errors (Such as - Diskette drive 0 Seek Failure and Secondary Hard Disk Drive 0 not found). Ive tried using different jumpers (Cable select for both drives, Slave for my CDRW and Master for my DVDRW), I've made sure the IDE cable is the right way etc etc. But I still keep on getting errors, anyone know what the problem might be?

Any help would be VERY greatly appreciated....

Have you tried the Pioneer on its own as mamster ?

Also check in bios that its not set to pio or dma 66/100

Maybe all it needs is for the bios to be set to auto detect the drive.

    Hope this helps !
