    Xbox 360

Hey everyone, jus wondering if someone could give me some advice or point me in the right direction. Basically im gonna be getting a 360 soon (been planning this for a year now lol).

So im looking for a good deal, im more or less decided that it will be a PAL one because i jus cant be arsed to chance customs, and two im not really fond of customs charges.

Now i know that i can get it from our here forums for cheaper than the RRP but im under the idea that there are some dodgy batches of the 360 and a warrenty would definatley come in handy if a problem should occur.

So now that i have decided on a PAL 360 from the shops is in order. Im wondering where i should be going? What i want from the purchase is -

    - 360 Premium (so i dont need to worry about missing stuff out)
    - At least 1 game included to get me started.
    - A gurantee/warrenty incase of sudden explosion
    - A decent price of arround ?270 tops.

So what im asking here is, am i making the right decision here in going PAL Should i buy online for a better deal for a PAL machine. If i buy online it must be a UK supplier, as im not really into paying customs tax.

Ive checked the following stores -

    play
    Amazon
    HMV
    Game
    Game station

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Most places have premium, plus PGR3 and extra free wireless controller for ?279.

Argos have a half-decent deal instore, ?279 for premium pack with Fifa 07 or another game (forget which one) and possibly an free additional controller, sorry so vague.

Check out toysrus.co.uk (and in store) also.

Personally I'd Recommend Curry's Digital, They exchanged 2 of my faulty consoles there and then in store and I was that impressed I paid ?70 for 5 year cover.

If it breaks, brand new one everytime, no scabby refurbs for me

If you want the extended warantee i do strongly recomend any of the DSGi stores (currys.digital, currys or PC World). Under a year old and if anything happens to the console itself it's 'Code 5' which means instant replacement in store (brand new box). Smash any of the perifs up and you buy a new one and they send you out a cheque to re-imburse. As yet i don't think they have a procedure for over a year old which usually means they will either continue to replace in store or just write the unit (and the agreement) off and give you vouchers to buy a replacement console. This happened with my original xbox after it went screwy.

PS. Side note, for my 100 quid xbox plus 30 quid cover I got sent 300 quid of vouchers (280 of product & 20 of coverplan). Because the standard xbox was no longer available and I bought myself a nice free 360 with it ..... their policy has changed on xbox 1s by the way

Id probably go for it if they didnt open everything up and store things. I hate it how they handle goods. It feels like 2nd hand goods! But thanks for the info, jus might check it out cos its definatley the cheapest ive found online.
