    Roxio or Nero?

Right I'm finally going to get round to actually purchasing a FULL version of some burning software.

From the looks of it it seems to be a straight race between the 2 above programs? Can anyone give me any recommendations?

What I'm ideally looking for is something that will convert divx movies and such forth to dvds playable on a standard player with the minimum of fuss.

    Any thoughts?

Nero Vision Express is what I use for that very purpose. It's childishly simple, and works pretty well with PAL or NTSC stuff. Damn slow with the encoding (I usually leave it running overnight), but I doubt anything else is significantly faster.

Thanks for the reply peeveen. Can you get Nero vision express standalone or do you have to get it as part of nero reloaded premium?

I can only find reloaded premium along with lots of plugins on neros site?

I got an OEM Nero Express 6 (v6.6) from eBay for less than ?3 delivered and it works great.

I've used both Nero and Roxio and prefer Nero.

Yeah but express oem won't encode video for dvds.

In fact thats what I've got and thats why I'm looking to upgrade.

So, is it premium I'm looking at then?

I've got nero 6 with nve and I found the lipsync was always slightly out for me. So now I just watch them on my xbox via xbox media center.
