I am told there were 2 versions of the official XBox1 Component cable?

Yes there are. The first one looks like this and has a breakout box:-

and the second version has no breakout box and ends directly in component connections:-

I have heard/read that the second version is of better quality, and is atleast on par with the Monster XBox cable.
However, I have been looking all over trying to find a new 'second version' of the cable with no luck, so if you or anyone else knows where I can order one from please let me know!Last edited by Link83; 11-11-2006, 02:11. -
Try trading folder or ebay. You only need it if you want to take advantage of modded xbox on your TV.Comment

The problem is that getting either official one is very difficult now. Lik-sang before they closed had been out of stock for months. Same applies to Play-Asia and most other places which even advertise it.
As said ^ E-bay is your best bet but I'd bet that if you weren't bothered about no optical audio output the Monster XBox component cable is probably the best you'll find. It's not easy to source (in the UK) either and the extreme cost is a serious drawback.
Personally I've the official XBox one with breakout box because I wanted the optical output and I'm very happy with it.Comment
