    Record and share PS3 footage?

    Taken from Eurogamer over here

Sounds like a fantastic feature to me what do you think?

It would be fantastic recording an online Wipeout Race and sending it to your mate for viewing after Brilliant

Yeah, sounds cool. It won't get used that much I guess, but would be a nice addition for when you do feel like using it.

I notice also in that article they are still wittering on about Killzone. Why anyone would keep pinning all their hopes on a sequel to a completely dire game is beyond me. Hopefully it's way better than the first one, but I'd be calling it something different and attempting to create the PS3's Halo. Killzone has too many negative legacy vibes attached.

Did someone say Burnout 360 ?

I'd put money on it being GTHD or whatever it's called now. It says it's only for a specific title at the minute.

That's what I though when I first read that -although Motorstorm offers more opportunaty for that kind of thing.

Although I like the xbox, I have to put the same argument I use on PS3 online network. This feature will be consistant on EVERY ps3 game (I think?), while its only available on a few key select X360 games.

It's definitely a cool feature. Should make for some excellent videos of people performing incredible feats of gaming on YouTube, and on the PC, where it's a fairly common feature, it regularly produces unbelievable stuff like the 1K Project II. I hope more games start to include it because it has practical uses like sending a replay to a friend who's stuck on a certain section.

I would have thought one of the immediate favourites for this technology would be the new grand theft auto personally...

Nah it says it's for a specific titile but may be implemented more generally in future :

I think it's a brilliant idea, I still think that it would be better to start it with replays only. Send your best goals / laps / stunts etc to your friends.

Either way it's more progression towards "next-gen" gaming.

Are we talking PGR3 style? That just blew me away first time I saw it.

Nah that's broadcasting live races - this is like Burnout Revenge on 360 - Save / Edit replay then upload or "send" to friends.

I'll never get any work done now, I'm addicted to watching Halo MP matches
