Will my gamecube stepdown converter work on wii?

I used this stepdown converter for gamecube:

    AC ADAPTOR
    600ma
    105v/50hz.
    And this is wii

    wii:
A: The Wii's power block is rated at 58 watts and it's obviously 110v/60hz.

I'd say no, it'll just about cover it, but doesn't allow much leeway.

If 600mA is the same as 60 Watt, I would rather buy a new stepdown-converter with at least 100 Watt (as that is recommended).

I have a 600mA stepdown-converter for my US-GameCube myself, but I'm waiting for my 500 Watt stepdown-converter to arrive, as I don't want to take any chances.

The Wii is actually rated at 45W, which is written on the machine itself. I've been using a 50W step down fine, but obviously higher is better as 50 is on the limit.

          same question really. Mine says:

          Max Load - 30VA
          Input - 220/240V
          Output - 110/120V

Am I gonna need to spend some more dosh eh?

            Yes - 30VA - it'll melt - as I've mentioned in a previous thread, I'd personally not use less than 100 Watt rated stepdown ( or 100 VA )

The stepdown - it's under powered, the Wii will draw more power than the stepdown is able to provide, the coils on the transformer inside will get really hot, and we get critical mass.

( actually it'll probably just burnout and become unusable, either way I'd not use a 30 Watt stepdown on the Wii ).

GC draws about 30 watts, which is plenty fine for a 60 watt stepdown. Papercut mentioned above that the Wii draws 45 watts, elsewhere it's been mentioned it draws 58 Watts.

                    If it's 45, you'll probably get away with a 60 Watt stepdown, but a 30 watt won't hack it.
