I've noticed some HT amps include HDMI switches (Pioneer VSX1016, Sony STRDA1200), could be worth considering as a HDMI switch is an expensive buy at the moment and these amps aren't all that much more (?350-400).

Man that's expensive. I'll need one of these as well if I ever get a PS3 but I hadn't thought they would be so pricey. Too bad I already have a nice amp or I would go that way.

Well I got my Octava already. ?128.64 inc SD from TMF.
3 inputs, auto switching with remote too, 230v and very high spec transfer rates. It's a very competitive price from what I've seen. You can get cheaper but they're manual and I wanted something that guarantees no loss in PQ.

Is there any sort of device that combines both HDMI switching and optical input switching?

                    oh is it different?

i really dont know about HZ.. I must be dumb... so the PSU can be 50 but the thing itself must be 60?

                    ok...

If the PSU isn't 50Hz it won't work on our power system without extra equipment. Our power is 50Hz.

Do any HDMI switchers support HDMI 1.3 yet?
