2x360 consoles, one live account, possible??

We have two 360's, one for me and one for my son, is it possible to use my account on both machines as my son has no need for live but I sometimes use his machine if the rest of the guys are hogging the plasma??

If I transfer my details to his machine will I have to always put them back on mine when I return, im sure you need to but I sure hope we don't.

I think you can have the "profile" on both accounts but obviously only be using it on one at a time, or failing that you'd have to keep recovering the profile from live.

Maybe you could use a memory card to transport the gamer profile onto the other machine?

I have two 360s and just switch the HDD between them as necessary.

Put the profile on a memory card and use that with whichever 360 you want to go Live on.

Couple of questions related to the main topic as I want to get a PAL console and use my existing profile on it.

- If I have 2 consoles and both of them have HDDs, is the memory card still going to be required?

- Or do I simply need to use a memory card just the once (to transfer my profile to the other system) and that's it?

(Hopefully this is the case as I can borrow a memory card and don't fancy swapping HDDs all the time)

If it's just the profile you're transferring you don't even need a memory card. You can just recover your profile via Live. This will transfer your gamertag and achievements.

Once you the transfer your profile to the new console you won't be able to access Live on the original console (using that profile) unless you recover it again.

It doesn't take too long to recover your profile over Live but I find it easier (and quicker) to just switch HDDs. Plus it keeps all my game saves, arcade games, extra content etc in the same place.
