    Xbox live arcade games on replacement 360's

    My launch Xbox is starting to monged up so I've has to exchange it! Problem is it means the other 2 Live accounts on my 360 can't play Arcade games due to them being locked to the console or gamertag they were bought with.

    Is there anyway around this? It's really **** that my partner can't play Uno, Zuma etc on my new console.

    I asked the same question of Microsoft Support. I was told that I needed to fax them my original serial number, new serial number and confirmation of the exchange (from the shop where purchased) and then they'd look into it.

    IIRC, you'd have to create a new profile to which MS would credit points so you could download your content again.

    I never got around to sorting it out.

      BUMP! I have tried talking to them countless times and they have never even understood the problem. Just sent them this email:

      Here's my problem- I have contacted you many times due to my Xbox being faulty and when it was replaced my partner could no longer play the Live Arcade games we purchased on my gamertag as they reverted to the trial versions.

      What you need to do is either credit my or her account with the MS points to re-buy the games, like you have to many other people that have posted on your support forums.

      I have been forced to talk to people that barely understand English and take 10mins just to write down my address so no longer want to be asked to phone customer support for another badly translated call where the person on the other end of the line doesn't know what's going on as they have never even played an Xbox in their life.

      All I want is for me and my partner to be able to play the games we have paid for. For your reference my gamertag is Haribokart, and hers is Fire Warbler, it may be of note that we are both Gold account holders too.

      Please get back to me with a response on what you ARE going to do about this, as I am sick of being told conflicting stories by your utterly useless customer support staff who couldn't tell a 360 from a Toilet seat.

          You know.. they still have not sorted this out despite saying late december it would be a few days..

            It took them ages before I was given codes for my 360, and one of the four (I've bought a lot) had already been used by someone so I had to wait even longer to get that.

            And what happens if my current 360 dies? (It's showing signs that it will soon) I then have to get the points from two accounts and create another on my next system.

            Their DRM is a mess. They should have created it so that they could transfer it over to another machine.
