360 HD-DVD Drive - Where is it hiding?

Hi,

Can someone point me in the direction of somewhere i can purchase one of these because i am hitting a brick wall?

I have been checking online retailers for a while but most i have checked (Amazon,Gameplay,Play,Gameseek,game etc....) say out of stock, but i have personally never seen them in stock cos i have been checking!!!

My local Game store say they are not being stocked at retail because Microsoft won't tell them how many they can have.

Gamestation are not sure if they are getting them because no one has told them.

Virtua Games say they are waiting to see how much interest there is!!!!

Any ideas?? surely there is not enough demand to cause a shortage like a console launch can there??

Gameplay seem to be still taking orders.

I pre-ordered mine there 2 weeks ago.

I just order it at gameplay. Not expecting too much though. Do they normally ship them on Wednesday to make sure it arrive for Friday (game)

Still going to check out what happening in town centre tomorrow.

My order status says it'll ship on the 29th-30th.

I rang Gameplay this morning and they said they should be getting their stock tomorrow and so will be able to tell you if your order will get you one for Friday then. I ordered on the 11th and the guy sounded unsure whether I was early enough but if not I'll just cancel it and pay the extra to get one from Movietyme.

Just got an email from Movietyme saying mine has shipped,ordered on the 24th. Funnily enough i email'd them 10 mins previous.

Might be worth a go if you are still waiting?
