Farcry - versions?

What's the difference between the Farcry games. Farcry / instincts / evolution ??
Which is the one to get if any? (xbox)

AFAIK, "FarCry" (regular) was only on PC, "FarCry Instincts" is the normal Xbox version (had the feral powers), and "FarCry Evolution" is some sorts of expansion pack (new multiplayer etc).

There's also "FarCry Predator" on Xbox 360 and "FarCry Vengeance" on the Wii.

ps If you google for images, there's an occasionally front of FarCry (regular) for Xbox, but I guess these are pre-launch images.

As I remeber it Farcry one is a standard shooter, In insticts you get special ferral powers which mean you can do special moves and melee combat and a new map. And I think evolution is both games repackaged with better graphics and some new areas.

Umm... You need instincts in order to use evolution, I believe. All other next-gen console versions are both in one game (i.e. Predator.)

not correct. evolution is a stand alone game, like how doom 3 resurrection is a stand alone game on xbox.

But these are DIFFERENT games, it's not like it's the same game: it has a new story + more multiplayer levels.

The Ubisoft guy told IGN that the Wii version has a seperate storyline that builds on the original so I'm thinking it's either a heavily modified 're-imagining' of the original or a completely new game.
