    Whats a PC D-Sub?

    Hi chaps,

Was about to get a HDTV when I noticed the lack of VGA port, which I thought was weird as the reviews for the Samsung 32" LE32R74BDX/XEU said one of its benefits was 1:1 pixel mapping over VGA.

Quick google later, and I notice the D-sub port it has, looks a bit like a VGA port in the fuzzy photographs. So, my question is - is a D-sub the same as a VGA port?

Yep - d-sub is the proper term for a 15 pin analogue video connection, which is usually marked in blue.

        You certainly can.

Be warned though that colours (particularly blues) may look garish over the Samsung on VGA compared to what you're used to (you'll know what I mean when you see it) on a PC.
