Out of interest, any of you PS3 owners connected a PSP to it yet?

Just wondering what you can do with the two combined (if anything) at this early stage...

Yes please tell someone, I'm itching to know this myself. I'm hoping I can send Chotto Shot pics and videos to the PS3 wirelessly, for displaying on the TV amongst other things.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

I downloaded the latest PSP update last night to try it out. I will try and connect them later on and report back.

Do you have to connect them via Wifi?

Yes you connect via Wifi - I tried out remote play yesterday and while the bit rate is a little low it was steady (unlike Pimp streamer homebrew for the PSP).

I only tried a handful of trailers but I guess you can access any media on the XMB.

Any update on this? Still eager to know if you can transfer photos wirelessly to the ps3?

You could just take the memory stick out of the PSP and plug it into the PS3 ??? Be quicker than switching the PSP on and faffing about with it !

I realise this, but I still want to know if it can be done, as I take a lot of photos/videos with Chotto Shot. I'd prefer to just send 'em over instead of faffing about swapping out memory sticks etc.

Can it *only* connect via WiFi? Would that make it incompatible with 20GB PS3's?

You can use the mini USB cable too.

There's an update firmware option at the top of the PSP's System menu (furthest left). If you select that and let the WiFi connection be brought up, it will check if there is firmware and download it to your MemoryStick if required. That's how I always do mine, done it 3 times so far without trouble.

Its a piece of piss mate. Just get the latest update for the PSP connect the usb cable, switch usb mode on on your psp and your done.

Its super fast copying from the psp, all the music i had came over in seconds. Plus you can edit tracks and add pictures for the folders.

Also i transferred over a few photos's, i really like the slideshow mode. Today is the first day ive had to mess about with the system, pretty neat stuff.
