    Component splitter?

I was fully intending getting the component cable for my Wii, but since I succumbed to console jitters last weekend and picked up the great value ?299 360 pack in Gamestation, I now have a device using up my solitary component ports on the TV. Is there a good/easy way to split the Wii and 360 inputs via component or should I just go with the RGB scart lead for the Wii? (actually, I have some doubt about whether Wii via component will be that much better quality than via RGB, other than lack of interlace effects of course, perhaps someone can advise?).

There is a 3-way component splitter that a lot of us use here on the forum.

    Clicky!!

Spot on in terms of build and function. Quite a sexy little box for the price. You can't go wrong.

it's passive, all it's doing is enabling you to switch from 3 different sources. there's nothing in the box to degrade anything. i will say one thing though, getting a decent one is a lottery... i had 2 delivered and one didn't work, but for the ?10 it cost posted from hong kong i didn't mind.

I still swear by my Audio Authority switcher.

Not cheap to import (or easy to find over here) but worth every single penny I paid for it.

i find this note interesting "Converts optical and coaxial signals automatically" so it'll convert both ways? that is pretty smart actually...

if you haven't got surround sound you could allways get a yamaha RX V359 Receiver/amp as it has 3 component imputs and one output

I have a Yamaha DSP-A5 and it's great (although getting on a bit now) but now realise that in this modern day and age I should really have an amp with multiple component/hdmi inputs. However, as that would relieve me 500 notes, I think I'll stick with the ebay splitter mentioned above

Cheers for the advice and help guys.

Is this particular seller OK? His feedback is a bit squiffier than I would usually deal with on Ebay.

Got mine from Play Asia - personally I'd rather deal with them than someone stinky on ebay....

Was out of stock a few days ago mind when I checked for a mate, could be back in now though...

Not strictly true - the signal is only as good as the weakest part of it, and the signal still passes through the box, passive or otherwise - I have this splitter box and it's very good, but there is a very slight degradation of image on my HDTV. Nothing major, else I wouldn't even use it, but there all the same. The advantages vastly outweigh the disadvantages.
