    Will this Stepdown Work With My PS3?

    I've just received my jap ps3, but don't know much about electrics.


    i have a pachislo machine and this is the adapter i use for it.....



    will it work with the ps3?

    nope it wont - but you dont need a stepdown anyway.

    a PC power lead is all you need

        Like shozuki says, just use a pc power lead, but just make sure you change the fuse to a 3 Amp one.

          Is this a requirement? I thought you could just plug it in via any old kettle lead? How can damage be caused if you don't swap fuses? Some say to use a 5amp too. I don't get it.

              AFAIK, most people who're using it in the UK recommend a 3amp fuse, although a 5amp seems to work just as well.

              If you go above that, then (going on my basic electrical knowledge) you're just letting more current through, which will result in blowing up one of the fuses INSIDE your PS3 (much harder to fix).
