I thought the light came on when you get a friends request via Wii mail. It does not, I have had 5 requests come through in the last ten minutes and not one flash.

When is it supposed to flash ?

flashes in standby - not sure it can whilst its turned on.

there is a hardware mod coming that makes the light flash in time with sound coming from your wii ...

Thats one thing that did annoy me. Even now, on my desktop I have a wallpaper of the Wii...blue light on. I don't think I've seen a picture of the Wii with it off?

I'm not that fussed but I did expect it to be on whilst a disc was in it.

W can only hope some kind of update or patch will be released by anyone to make the light stay on all the time, it looks so smexy when on!

Mine only flashes when I turn on. No flash when I insert a disk .

I concur. It looks a damn sight prettier with the light on. Hope it's a software, not a hardware mod.

There is an option somewhere to make the light bright or dim, and by default it is dim.

So there we go. Have to say it was quite nice getting in yesterday and seeing the blue light, knowing that someone loved me and sent me a message.
