    Wii mote gone loopy.

Right. Just got stuck on the VC channel and now niether of my Wiimotes are recognised. ALl four connection slots just flash and I tried re-synching them to no avail. Am I missing something really obvious here?

Place they the sensor bar in a different postion and see if it makes any difference.

No difference at all... It can't be borked already!!! Is it correct that the synching process is just the button on the inside of the battery cover?

Push the sync button on the console first (by the SD slot).

Erm.. have you checked that your sensor bar settings in the dashboard corresponds with the actual position of your sensor bar?

****. Just tried that and still nothing. You can't access any kind of other menu without the Wiimote it seems. This is crap.

As for the sensor bar, yeah it was working fine before, they just stopped all of a sudden. Can't now enter any menus to change it either...

              Damn.

If the lights on the Wiimote are flashing, then it could mean that your sensor bar is borked.

Great. I haven't even touched the thing! Time to get on the phone I suppose.

Kongster I think you might be right. The stand by LED is orange right. Well its gone red now when the machine is off. Has anyone else experienced this???

WTF??? As soon as I tried disconnecting the whole thing and re-connecting it it works.

So... If the sensor bar gets hot (it is right on top of my TV) will it just give up the ghost? This great tech may be a bit flimsy after all...

                    Cool.

You should use the stand that comes with the sensor bar. The sensor bar itself is quite fragile I reckon.

Yeah good idea. I hadn't even looked at that. Lucky escape!

This was a very common problem with the NDEV wii kits, it's a shame to see it cropped back up for the retail kits.

We had to unplug it all and resync, sometimes took half hour to resolve the issue

where is best for the sensor bar, on top or below the TV? I put mind below and its fine but when I sit on my bed which is equal to the hight of the bar the pointer dissappers when i want to move it to the bothom of the screen. I have to rise it up in the air to get it. Think it would be better on the top of tv?

Try removing the batteries from the remotes and re inserting them, that seemed to work as well.
