Do you get Wii points with the classic controller? I heard something about that, it'd be handy if you do, prior to Wii points turning up in the Stars Catalogue... If you do, I'll go out and buy one when the shops open I reckon, otherwise I'll buy points online and reel in Bonks Adventure, unless anyone knows when we'll see Wii points in the Stars catalogue?

You don't get any points with the classic controller over here unfortunately.
In Japan you can buy the controller seperately or bundled with 5000 Wii points. A few mags/ sites incorrectly reported that the UK controller would also come with some points....not sure if this was pure speculation or if Ninteno has since changed it's mind.
Don't think Nintendo have confirmed a date for Wii points in the Stars catalogue yet. -
It's probably better to buy them with a credit card if you can as the high street shops seem to be marking the price of the cards waaaaay up. For instance, 2000 online costs ?14.99 but a 2000 point card in GameStation is ?20. Go figure.Comment
