Help me pick an LCD Monitor for 360!!!!!

Chaps, a little help needed here. I decided to get rid of my current tv, and replace it with an LCD TV/monitor... sadly, I dont know anything about these wondrous things, so need your help in selecting an appropriate one. I need it primarily for gaming (have to be able to play the ps2, wii, 360 and ps3 on it), but would also be great if I can watch tv on it... although I could go for a monitor that doesnt support this, as long as the price is ok.

I think thats about the max I would pay for a monitor, might settle for a 17in one though, if it would be much cheaper. This for example could be quite good, especially since its an lcd tv (I assume the one from play isnt):

It should have RGB scart and stuff so I can connect my ps2 and other consoles to it! Unless I can connect all 4 consoles through VGA or something else?

Well, ok, it doesnt HAVE to be able to work as a TV, but I do need it for various game consoles; won't be using it for any pc-related purposes. Surely someone must know!

I've just bought a Samsung 215TW...it hasn't been delivered yet so I don't have first hand information, but a couple of my friends bought it for PC/console gaming and are extremely pleased by this monitor. It's a bit expensive (550 euros) and doesn't have RF inputs, though.
A less expensive choice is the Samsung 941, a nice 19" 4:3 monitor with RF inputs.

You'll really need something with a component in as well as the usual LCD inputs to cover all your options.

Wow, thats quite nice. But you know, I think Ill actually just use the monitor for a 360. Forget tv and the other consoles... So having said that, is either of the two options on Play any good (one is Digimate, the other Videoseven). Is widescreen better than standard?

Both of the ones you've linked to on Play.com have only VGA inputs, so are suitable for only the 360 & PS3 - you won't be able to connect a PS2, Wii or Gamecube without some kind of adaptor. I'd try to find a monitor which also has DVI or HDCP - both give better image-quality with digital sources, and it's good "future-proofing"; a monitor with DVI may cost little more than one with only VGA, and I've read here of monitors with HDCP going for a ?199.

Oh thats fine. Actually, Ill be getting an HDTV late next year (around november), so will only probably use the monitor till then, which is why Im not looking to spend too much and its pretty short-term, hence looking at the ones on Play. Between the two of them, is there any difference, really?

Does that acer monitor have speakers? Doesn't seem to say so anywhere I've looked, what would you do about the audio? Wouldn't mind gettin a montior like that maself as im gettin a 360 soon, just don't know what I'd do about the audio, could you just plug the red and white connectors on the vga cable into a standard am and speakers set up?
